What We Do
We advocate for grantee-centered philanthropic practices to better support nonprofit leadership transitions, particularly those involving leaders who come from the communities they serve. We provide spaces for funder learning and reflection so that philanthropy can properly resource grantee partners before, during and after leadership transitions, as periods of opportunity rather than crisis.
Why It’s Important
Organizations in transition – especially those led by executives who come from the communities they serve – are critically under-funded and under-resourced at the very moment that they are most vulnerable. They often face a trust gap and a “wait and see” approach from funders just when deeper trust and support are needed most. We want to radically change this approach and work to catalyze a broader cultural shift within philanthropy.
