We are building a community of practice to support leadership transitions.
Community of Practice Purpose
To explore and workshop principles, learnings and strategies around grantee-centered support of nonprofit executive leadership transitions, in order to ensure nonprofits survive and thrive through transitions, which are moments of profound vulnerability. This community seeks to catalyze a broader cultural shift within philanthropy.
Why Now?
The social change sector in the United States is at a critical juncture amid social and political disruption. Stepping up as a nonprofit leader during these times is an act of courage.
Through this community of practice, funders are invited to step up and stand with nonprofits and leaders in transition to support organizational and movement resilience.
Recognizing that leadership transition support is an emerging area of philanthropic practice, there is value in learning and reflecting together, brainstorming creative funding strategies, and workshopping a range of practices and real-time challenges.
Community Goals
